Should I switch the power off before you get here?
If you can smell burning, see scorching around an outlet, or a breaker will not stay on, switch that circuit off at the panel and leave it off. If the panel itself is hot, buzzing or smoking, do not touch it. Get everyone out of the house and call us from outside. Anything less urgent, leave exactly as it is so we can see what it is doing.
What should I do before you arrive?
Clear the space in front of the panel so the door can open all the way, and write down which outlets, lights or appliances are affected. If it only happens at certain times, or when one particular appliance runs, write that down too. It usually points straight at the cause.
How can I pay?
Card, check or bank transfer, taken when the work is finished and you have signed it off.
