Ride Copilot Crash Texts

Crash texts are sent by Studio Vicki LLC, the maker of the Ride Copilot app. They go only to people who agreed to get them. Crash texts never contact 911 or any emergency service.

How people opt in

  1. In Ride Copilot, a rider opens Crash texts and enters up to three phone numbers.
  2. The rider ticks “These people agreed to get my crash texts” and taps Save.
  3. Each new number gets one invite text from Ride Copilot asking them to reply YES.
  4. Only people who reply YES get crash texts. No reply means no more texts.

The texts

Ride Copilot (Studio Vicki LLC): Alex wants you as a crash alert contact. If their phone detects a crash, you'd get a text with their location. Reply YES to accept, STOP to opt out.

Ride Copilot: Alex may have crashed and didn't cancel the alarm. Last location: https://maps.apple.com/?ll=33.44838,-112.07404 This automatic text did NOT contact 911. Reply STOP to opt out.

Your choices

Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Texts are rare: an invite, and a text only if a rider's crash alarm goes uncancelled. Message and data rates may apply. We never sell or share phone numbers for marketing, and these texts are never marketing.
